1907 ❖ CLAMS for the Lopez Cannery ❖

"Several Indian fishing sloops laden with clams
from B.C. arrived in Friday Harbor, SJC, Monday evening.
There was no one to receive them at the cannery, so
S.M. Bugge bought them for the Tuana Packing Co
at Lopez Island, SJC."
From the San Juan Islander newspaper, 2 March 1907
