❖ San Juan County Parks ❖

Jonette and two other pleasure boats are tied up to
mooring facilities at Reid Harbor on Stuart Island,
San Juan Archipelago, August 1956.
This was one of 10 moorages built and maintained by the
Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
No charge was made for the service, which made the
state parks and other recreation areas accessible to
small-boat enthusiasts. There was launching facilities
for small boats installed at 20 state parks.
