1967 ❖ PRESTON ON PARADE

Sternwheeler W.T. PRESTON

The Army Corps of Engineers' snagboat
in the foreground, was the only sternwheeler
still active in 1967.
She was one of many entries
for the Seattle SeaFair celebrations.
The parade began at the Fremont Bridge
and progressed through the Ballard Locks
to Golden Gardens Park.
The parade of boats carried bands and
Seafair royalty to the Shilshole Seafair Fun Day
at Ballard, WA.
